Next significant astronomical event/ meteor shower for UK?

I was just wondering if any star watchers know if there is a meteor shower predicted soon or a comet or something cool to see in the night sky in England? The stars that I can see where I live are very bright so it seemed like good conditions for viewing at the mo. If you have any dates or times that would be great. Thanks! :)
